Will McDowell-White has reportedly declined his NBL25 player option.

ESPN’s Olgun Uluc has reported star New Zealand guard Will McDowell-White has elected to decline his player option with the Breakers, and is now officially a free agent heading into NBL25.

McDowell-White has emerged as one of the most sought-after signatures of the upcoming free agency period, with Uluc previously reporting seven of the NBL’s ten teams had expressed an interest in acquiring the services of the 25-year-old.

The Brisbane-born guard suffered an injury-hit NBL24 campaign with New Zealand. Wrist and leg injuries restricted him to just 24 games across the season in which the Breakers suffered Play-In elimination at the hands of the Illawarra Hawks.

The Breakers recently announced the re-signing of import guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright for the upcoming season, and currently only have Jackson-Cartwright, Dane Pineau and former Taipan Sam Mennenga confirmed to their roster for next season.
