Adelaide 36ers coach Mike Wells believes his side "have the best three bigs in the league".

The Hungry Jack's NBL26 competition is littered with exceptional big men.

From Illawarra's MVP contender JaVale McGee, to Perth superstar Jo Lual-Acuil Jr and Melbourne defensive anchor Jesse Edwards, the depth of front court talent is as strong as its been.

But following Adelaide's resounding win over Brisbane on Friday, coach Mike Wells has claimed his team have the three best in the competition in Isaac Humphries, Zylan Cheatham and Nick Rakocevic.

"Their ability to not only be able to be solid defensive managers but really solid offensive output players as well in different roles slightly all three of them [has really impressed me]," Wells said in Friday's post game press conference.

"We have the three best bigs in the league. They'e very different. They're very talented. They bring different assets and more important than anything else, they're unbelievable human beings.

"They do everything that we ask them to do. We're a little more traditional [with our bigs]. It's not like we shoot a ton of threes with our bigs, but they defend, they rebound, they roll and they help guys get open and everybody's role a little bit different.

"The way Ice (Humphries) puts pressure on the rim.

"The way Z (Cheatham) is asked to do so many different things on both sides of the ball.

"Nick is a really skilled guy that brings a bunch of different assets and characteristics.

"They're all really unique and versatile and you need to change your defence when they each come into the game, depending on the combination."

Through the opening 11 rounds, Humphries is averaging 15.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks, while fellow starter Cheatham is putting up 12 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4 assists per contest.

Then off the bench, import Rakocevic is adding 7.1 points and 5.6 boards per game.

Their 36ers outfit, who are 12-3 on the season, travel to Perth on Sunday to face the Wildcats at RAC Arena from 4.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN and 10 Drama.
