Scott Roth has extended his contract with the Tasmania JackJumpers until the end of the 2026/27 NBL season.

Tasmania JackJumpers head coach Scott Roth has extended his stay in the Apple Isle, signing a contract extension with the NBL’s newest club until the end of the 2026/27 season.

The mutual option that covered the NBL26 season has been activated, and a further one-year extension has been included for the former NBL Coach of the Year.

Roth joined the JackJumpers as their inaugural head coach, following two seasons as an assistant coach at the Perth Wildcats and an extensive career as an assistant in the NBA. He was also head coach of G-League side Iowa and Spanish side Sevilla prior to coming to the NBL.

“We’re pleased to announce Scott’s commitment to the club for the next three seasons and to continue to build sustained success for the club both on and off the court,” JackJumpers CEO Christine Finnegan said.

“Scott’s new contract gives us stability as the club grows beyond its infancy and supports the very positive discussions around new ownership.

“Scott’s coaching record speaks for itself, but it is also the work he has done off the court contributing to all pillars of our business.”

Roth led the JackJumpers to the NBL Championship Series in the club’s first season in the competition and was named the league's Coach of the Year in NBL22, before the JackJumpers registered another top four finish and a run to the Playoffs in NBL23.

The extension has come with Tasmania third on the ladder, following the commencement of Round 16 of the NBL24 season.
