Former Port Adelaide AFL coach Ken Hinkley is reportedly in the mix to join the Adelaide 36ers in a coaching advisory role.

Channel 9’s Will Crouch said the 36ers had “sounded out” Hinkley to work closely with Mike Wells and his coaching team.

Hinkley coached the Power across 13 seasons and 297 games, twice winning the AFLCA Coach of the Year.

“The Adelaide 36ers are sounding out former Power coach Ken Hinkley for a coaching advisory role,” Crouch said via X.

“36ers looking to add high-performance expertise and experience for Mike Wells + his staff to lean on. Hinkley still considering his AFL future.”

Adelaide finished runners-up in the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 campaign, falling just short of the Sydney Kings in a memorable five-game Championship Series.
