Robinson ready to right wrongs

Monday, January 1, 2024
Justin Robinson has proclaimed his last game against Adelaide as the worst of his career.
New Year’s Eve is an occasion circled in most people’s calendars and Justin Robinson has had the date marked for months – but it's for different reasons than most.
The import guard will play his first game against the Adelaide 36ers since a game he describes as the worst in his career, and he’s keen to right some wrongs from the nine-point loss in Round 3.
Robinson shot a miserable 1-15 from the field against the 36ers last time around, and says this game has an added personal edge for him.
“I think we all have this game circled in our schedule,” Robinson told the Illawarra Mercury. “Me especially, because it’s probably the worst game I played in my career in Adelaide last time.
“It’s very personal for me. I want to do well but I think we’re excited as a team and we’re just taking it step-by-step.
“I’m a perfectionist, but it’s also hard coming off an injury trying to get your timings and things back right.
“I’m not shooting as well as I want to and assist numbers are a little lower than normal for me ... I’m just ready for what’s still coming and I’m enjoying the team’s energy.”
