Aussie big man makes Summer League splash

Former NBL Next Star Rocco Zikarsky is turning heads at NBA Summer League as he looks to build on a promising debut season in the US.

Zikarsky followed an impressive 18-point, six-rebound performance in 24 minutes against Portland with 12 points, five rebounds and three blocks in just 22 minutes against Indiana.

It has been a strong couple of days for the Australian big man, who averaged 14.8 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks across 43 G League appearances last season, while also featuring in five NBA games.

Zikarsky scored 10 points in the opening quarter against Portland and has begun finding his range from beyond the arc, adding another dangerous dimension to his game for the Minnesota Timberwolves this year.
