Johnson departs Phoenix

Wednesday, December 6, 2023
Daniel Johnson has departed South East Melbourne after three games.
Nominated replacement player Daniel Johnson has departed the South East Melbourne, following the return to fitness of rostered Phoenix center Gorjok Gak.
Johnson made his return to the NBL through his time at the Phoenix after finishing a decorated career at the Adelaide 36ers at the end of NBL23.
In his time at the club he made three appearances and averaged 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, and take his total games tally in the competition to 417, where he is tied with Daniel Egan and Scott Fisher as the 41st all-time appearance maker in the NBL.

The three-time All-NBL First Team nominee incidentally played against both of his former clubs – Melbourne and Adelaide – during his three-game stint.
Phoenix forward Craig Moller suffered a ruptured patella tendon in his right knee during his side’s win over New Zealand on Saturday night, and will miss the remainder of the season following surgery on the injury on Monday night.
