In an unbelievable turnaround, the 36ers and their superstar Bryce Cotton recorded one of the most memorable victories in recent history.
“I don’t know what just happened, to be honest,” Cotton said just seconds after one of the club’s most famous wins.
“Z (Zylan Cheatham) brought us in together I think at the start of the fourth quarter and he said ‘if we’re going to go down, we’re going to go down swinging’.
“I told him, ‘hell yeh, let’s get it’, and we fought out a win.”
It came after Cotton was given a hero’s welcome during his first game back in Perth.
“It’s always love for the fans and my teammates and coaches,” he said, after the Red Army gave him a standing ovation and presented an emotional video tribute for their five-time MVP.
