Hoops legend calls for NBA to come to Australia

NBA legend Horace Grant believes the NBA should consider bringing games to Australia, and has cited the passion of Australian fans for the game of basketball as a key reason it should considered.

Grant won three titles alongside Scottie Pippen at the Chicago Bulls, and will be part of the ‘NO BULL’ speaking tour alongside Pippen and fellow former Bull Luc Longley.

“It surprises me that an NBA game, exhibition game or regular season game hasn’t been played over there – seriously,” Grant told News Corp.

“Because the fans and the people are so passionate about the NBA, about the game of basketball.

“They’ve been in Europe, China, Asia – all over – and not Australia.

“Hopefully the NBA and the Commissioner will definitely consider it.”
