Adelaide star fires for NBA's Trail Blazers

Adelaide star Flynn Cameron has made an early statement ahead of the Hungry Jack’s NBL27 Season, producing an impressive performance for the Portland Trail Blazers at NBA Summer League.

After scoring 11 points against Orlando on Monday, Cameron followed up with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in just 19 minutes against Denver on Friday, Australian time.

"I just wanted to ... see where I was at, and I think I can compete at this level. I think it’s been awesome to come back to the US," Cameron said post-game.

"I just like to bring energy. I like to pick up the back of our leaders. Cy (Chris Youngblood), Jayson Kent, Quincy (Olivari), they’ve all been picking up full court. I see that and I just think it’s contagious. So, I want to come out here to do the same."

Cameron enjoyed a strong NBL26 campaign in his first season with the 36ers, earning the League’s Most Improved Player award while averaging 11.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
