Former Boomer Brad Newley joins Kelsey Browne and Derek Rucker for a Roundtable edition of NBL Now.

Friday night brings two star point guard battles. Kendric Davis takes on Taran Armstrong as Sydney visits Tasmania in Launceston, and Bryce Cotton meets Parker Jackson-Cartwright as Adelaide travels to New Zealand.

The panel also weighs up if Cairns is a genuine contender, whether Cole Anthony has arrived for Melbourne United, and who leads the MVP race seven rounds in.

Rucker and Newley finish with their early top-four picks.
