Australasia’s biggest basketball festival is back, and so is its iconic Fan Zone.
As part of HoopsFest Perth, the Fan Zone will return in partnership with the City of Perth, transforming Forrest Place into a vibrant basketball hub from January 15–18, right in the heart of the CBD.
A true hoop lover’s playground, the Fan Zone blends basketball culture, live entertainment and community in a fun, inclusive and family-friendly environment throughout Perth’s summer holidays.
Across four action-packed days, the precinct will come alive with DJs, food trucks, giveaways, merchandise, sponsor activations and interactive activities, creating a welcoming festival space for locals, visitors, families and city workers alike.
Fans will also have the chance to meet NBL and WNBL players, with club appearances taking place each day.
A dedicated seating area will allow fans to soak up the action on the half-court, featuring 3x3 tournaments involving 3x3Hustle and Special Olympics, while watch parties will showcase every NBL and WNBL game being played at RAC Arena.
On Friday, the Fan Zone will host a live Overtime panel ahead of the Perth Wildcats vs Illawarra Hawks clash.
“The Fan Zone is a huge element in what makes HoopsFest Perth so memorable. Situated in the heart of the CBD, Forrest Place will be transformed into a basketball lover’s dream. With free entry, fans can meet NBL and WNBL players while enjoying the festival atmosphere of food trucks and live entertainment,” NBL Chief Product Officer, Alex Hamilton said.
