AJ Johnson and Tyrese Proctor turned heads with standout performances in Las Vegas.

A former Next Star and a rising Aussie talent lit up the NBA Summer League on Thursday, turning heads with standout performances in Las Vegas.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Tyrese Proctor turned in a breakout performance against Sacramento, dropping 35 points along with 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals.

The 49th pick in this year’s draft did it all in just 28 minutes on court.

Former Illawarra Hawk AJ Johnson continued his strong Summer League campaign, posting 25 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists for Washington in a clash with Utah.

Now a teammate of former Perth Wildcat and fellow Next Star, Alex Sarr, Johnson was traded to the Wizards from Milwaukee in February.

In that same outing, Akoldah Gak made the most of his limited minutes, chipping in 3 points, 4 rebounds and recording a game-high +19 in just 9 minutes.

Chicago Bulls draft pick and Illawarra Hawks champion Lachlan Olbrich showed his all-around game, tallying 5 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal in 25 minutes against Milwaukee.
