Vale Rick Longley

The NBL is saddened by the loss of former Perth Wildcats player, Rick Longley.

Longley played eight games for the Wildcats in their debut 1982 season, coming out of retirement at 40 to help the new Club averaging 4.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game as well as representing Australia on a number of occasions.

Two of Rick’s sons also went on to play for the Wildcats, Griffin Longley and Luc Longley, one of the greatest basketballers in Australian history.

The NBL sends its deepest condolences to the Longley family during this difficult time.
