Too hot to handle: Pepper's incredible scoring feat

Elijah Pepper exploded for 59 points in a single game for the Warwick Senators on Saturday night.
Perth Wildcats rising star Elijah Pepper has been lighting up the scoreboard all NBL1 season, but his latest feat pushed the boundaries of belief.
Echoing a memorable performance by former teammate Bryce Cotton in the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Season, Pepper exploded for 59 points in a single game for the Warwick Senators on Saturday night.
It followed a 44-point outing just the night before, where he racked up 37 points in a single half.
But this time, there was no stopping him. A 14-point final quarter helped him eclipse Jack Purchase’s previous single-game record of 55, set earlier this year.
The 24-year-old launched into the NBL1 West season with a string of explosive performances for the Senators, tallying 50, 51, 48 and 50 points in successive games, and took things up another gear on Saturday night.
Pepper is now averaging 36.3 points, 7.3 assists and 6.4 rebounds this season, building serious momentum heading into NBL26 with the Wildcats.
