REPORT: Ex-Taipan to join European giants

Ex-Cairns Taipans guard Taran Armstrong is set to join Euroleague giants KK Partizan after his stint with the Golden State Warriors.
Former Cairns Taipans star Taran Armstrong has signed with KK Partizan, basketball.com.au is reporting.
Armstrong, who signed a two-way deal with the Golden State Warriors earlier this year, played 12 games with the team’s G League affiliate, Santa Cruz Warriors. He averaged 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists a game.
While Golden State would retain Armstrong’s NBA rights, a move to the Euroleague team could open up more opportunities playing at a higher level.
In his most recent Hungry Jack’s NBL Season, the 23-year-old guard averaged 17.1 points, 4.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds a game.
Basketball.com.au reports the deal will be finalised in the coming days.
