Andrew Bogut’s courtside influence is shining through at the Sydney Kings.

The Sydney Kings have no shortage of big names at their disposal during the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Season.

From six-time NBL championship-winner coach Brian Goorjian, to four-time Olympian Matthew Dellavedova, who also won the 2016 NBA title with Cleveland, and former league MVP Xavier Cooks, few can rival the experience on and off the court for the Kings.

But Cooks believe the impact of another high-profile individual has been second to none during the pre-season.

“[Andrew] Bogut has one of the best basketball minds going around,” two-time NBL champion Xavier Cooks told 2GB Sydney.

“He’s just an absolute legend of the game and we’re so lucky to have him.

“His wisdom down-low with the bigs has been invaluable - he loves being hands on and giving feedback.

“Bogut has achieved things in his career that we all dream of doing and he’s been unbelievable for us so far.”

Assistant coach Bogut, who played 783 games in the NBA and helped Golden State win the 2015 NBA championship, and his Kings open their NBL26 campaign later today against the Cairns Taipans at Qudos Bank Arena.

The Round 2 fixture tips off at 2.30pm and will be broadcast live on ESPN and Channel 10.
