ESPN's Olgun Uluc is reporting the Perth Wildcats are in advanced talks with US guard David Duke Jr.

The Perth Wildcats are reportedly closing in on signing David Duke Jr. as their new import guard.

ESPN’s Olgun Uluc is reporting the Wildcats are in advanced talks with the 6’4 American combo guard for the remainder of the 2025-26 Hungry Jack’s NBL season.

Duke Jr, who would replace the recently released Mason Jones, spent four seasons in the NBA, where he was most recently a two-way player for the San Antonio Spurs.

During that stint in Texas, the 26-year-old averaged 17 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game for Austin in the 2024-25 NBA G-League.

In the NBA, Duke Jr made 45 appearances for the Brooklyn Nets and 10 for San Antonio.

The Wildcats, who are 4-3 on the season, host Illawarra on Saturday at RAC Arena.
