REPORT: 36ers close in on new import

Just one day after parting ways with NBA star Montrezel Harrell, the Adelaide 36ers are reportedly close to a deal to sign a replacement import.

ESPN's Olgun Uluc tweeted "Nick Rakocevic - a 6’11 Serbian-American big man - is nearing a deal with the Adelaide 36ers, his agent Charles Misuraca of SLASH told ESPN."

The 27-year-old USC alum, who has played in China, the Philippines and Lebanon, is coming off a stint in Puerto Rico, where he averaged 14 points and 8.1 points across 21 games with two teams (Santeros de Aguada and Capitanes de Arecibo).

The 36ers host Brisbane on Sunday, in their home-opener of the Hungry Jack's NBL26 season.
