Next Star alumni unite in Philadelphia

Former NBL Next Star Rayan Rupert has signed a two-way deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, the club has confirmed.

Rupert will join his third NBA team, having previously played with the Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies across 155 games.

He finished the season strongly with the Grizzlies, scoring a career-high 33 points in a triple-double against Milwaukee in April.

Across 16 games with the Grizzlies, he averaged 12.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game.

Rupert is set to play alongside fellow Next Star alumni Ariel Hukporti, who signed with the 76ers earlier this week.
