The Brisbane Bullets have confirmed the signing of Mawot Mag as an Injury Replacement Player for Sam McDaniel, who will miss at least six weeks with a lower-leg injury.

The 25-year-old last played for the Taipans, averaging 2.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.5 steals per game across his 16 appearances during the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Season.

Bullets Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Will Weaver said Mag’s defensive versatility and character made him a key target, even before the season started.

“Mag’s character and point-of-attack defence made him a target for us in the off-season,” Weaver said.

“We’re excited about how he can help our team while Sam is out.”

“I’m really grateful for the opportunity to join Brisbane and be part of this organisation,” Mag said.

“The team has a lot of talent and has shown early signs of the trajectory they are heading in.

“I’m excited to get started, bring energy every day and contribute wherever I can.”

The Bullets next host South East Melbourne on Thursday, October 15 from 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
