The Brisbane Bullets will reportedly be without one of their star players for close to two months due to a quad injury.

According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, guard Arnas Velicka sustained the injury during the Bullets’ Round 4 fixture with Cairns, which will keep him on the sidelines for close to eight weeks.

Uluc says the team is aiming for him to return after the November FIBA window and is planning to sign a new guard in the short term.

Velicka, who is averaging 13.8 points and a League-leading 10.2 assists per game, joins Sam McDaniel and Taine Murray on the sidelines for Will Weaver’s side.

The Bullets next host South East Melbourne on Thursday from 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
