NBL champion's potential reunion

CODE Sports is reporting that a reunion might be on the cards between the Sydney Kings and Makur Maker.
Makur Maker, cousin of former Australian NBA star Thon Maker has emerged as a big man option for a number of teams during the 2025-26 Hungry Jack’s NBL season.
CODE Sports is reporting that a reunion might be on the cards for Maker, currently playing in Saudi Arabia, and the Sydney Kings - a side the South Sudanese center won a championship with during the NBL22 season.
Maker, who spent time with NBA G League sides, Capital City Go-Go and Raptors 905, in recent years, could bolster a Kings’ squad, left reeling following the long-term injuries to Keli Leaupepe (ACL) and Jason Spurgin (foot).
While the Kings recently signed former Norths Bears NBL1 star Hunter Goodrick as Leaupepe’s injury replacement, the club is reportedly keen to add more front court depth but won’t rush into any imminent moves - rather continuing to survey the market for options.
As well as the Kings, Adelaide is also reportedly in the mix to make moves, while other teams are dealing with front court injuries heading into round two.
