The Brisbane Bullets are reportedly closing in on a deal with NBA G League standout Nate Hinton, ESPN insider Olgun Uluc has revealed.

According to Uluc, Hinton has held deep discussions with the Bullets and expects a deal to be completed in the coming days.

“He’s a three-four type, a defence-first player, not really a shooter but he can score the ball at a reasonable level,” Uluc said.

The former NBA player has built a reputation as a versatile defender capable of guarding multiple positions and making an impact at both ends of the floor.

In his most recent season with the Memphis Hustle, he averaged 15.9 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.4 steals a game.

“He’s a defence-first wing, that’s a name that I’m told this team [Bullets] has engaged with pretty deeply,” Uluc said.

“I imagine that’s a deal that gets done in the next few days ... that’s a deal that I would be surprised it doesn’t happen.”

The potential signing would add another defensive presence to Brisbane’s roster, as the club continues shaping its squad under new coach Will Weaver ahead of the Hungry Jack’s NBL27 Season.
