The Tasmania JackJumpers have signed Tyger Campbell on a one-year deal.

As a result of losing their star guard Sean Macdonald due to a season-ending injury, the Tasmania JackJumpers have signed Tyger Campbell as an injury replacement player for NBL26.

The 5'11" point guard most recently played in the German basketball league, Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) with Rasta Vechta, after a stint in France with Saint-Quentin in the LNB Élite league.

“Tyger brings pace and poise to our backcourt. His ability to facilitate, score, and anchor our transition attack aligns perfectly with our style - gritty, unselfish, and team‑first” JackJumpers General Manager Basketball, Darren Smith said.

“I think Tasmanian fans will love his style of play. ”

The JackJumpers were quick to fill the void of a huge blow to the club in Macdonald, who was set for a strong season suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in the Australian Boomers clash against the University of Colorado.

“We had a lot of good options on the table, and we think a Tasmanian Tyger is a great fit for us” head coach, Scott Roth said.

“Campbell is a proven floor general. He competes at a high level, sets the tone in defence, and can take control of games."

Campbell joins Bryce Hamilton, David Johnson, Kobe Williamson and Josh Bannan amongst the club's off-season signings.
