Adelaide and New Zealand meet on the Gold Coast for the first Ignite Cup Final, with a record $300,000 prize on the line.

The Adelaide 36ers and New Zealand Breakers will face off in the first ever Ignite Cup Final on the Gold Coast on February 22.

The 36ers locked in their spot in the Final with a convincing win over Brisbane on Wednesday night, winning three quarters to finish in top spot on the standings, with 21 points.

New Zealand finished the qualifying phase of the tournament with three wins from four games, claiming a total of 11 quarters to finish with 20 points.

The two teams will play for the record $300,000 grand prize at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on February 22, with the runners-up receiving $100,000.

There’ll be extra incentive for the teams too, with 60 per cent of the prize purse going directly to the players, and 40 per cent to their respective clubs.

The Ignite Cup, presented by Disney+ has been an incredible success across Wednesday nights, with 20 extra games, a points system where every quarter counts, and every matchup also impacting the regular season standings.

The game will be live on ESPN and live and free on 10 Drama.
