Brisbane Bullets star Sam McDaniel will miss the next eight weeks of action following ankle surgery.

Brisbane Bullets star Sam McDaniel will miss the next eight weeks of Hungry Jack's NBL action, the club revealed on Friday.

Wing McDaniel, who is in his third season with the Bullets, underwent successful surgery this week on his ankle - which he hurt during his side's Round 2 clash with Cairns.

Sam McDaniel is out for tomorrow night’s home game against the JackJumpers following an ankle injury.

He underwent a successful procedure this week and is expected to return in approximately 8 weeks.

The 29-year-old, who also spent time with Melbourne United and Tasmania, will be replaced in the Bullets' squad by Tristan Devers, during Saturday's home opener against the JackJumpers.

That Round 3 fixture, tipping off at 8pm AEST, will be broadcast live on ESPN.
