Aussies abroad: College star lands at Cleveland

Tyrese Proctor was picked 49th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers via Milwaukee.

Tyrese Proctor has become one of four Australians selected at the 2025 NBA Draft.

The Sydney-born guard, who spent the past three NCAA seasons at Duke, was picked 49th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers via Milwaukee.

The 21-year-old averaged 12.4 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists during the 2024–25 college season.

He joins fellow Aussies Rocco Zikarsky, Alex Toohey, and Lachlan Olbrich in making the leap to the NBA.
