The Tasmania JackJumpers came back from 16 points down in the fourth quarter to win it at the death over the Sydney Kings.

The never-say-die Tasmania JackJumpers were on full display as they overcame a 16-point fourth quarter deficit with Nick Marshall the last second hero as they hit the final 12 points to beat the Sydney Kings 90-89.

The Kings looked in complete control leading by 16 early in the fourth quarter when Jaylin Galloway hit a three-pointer on his way to his best performance of NBL26 with 20 points on 7/10 shooting with 3/4 from downtown.

Tasmania soon lost leading scorer Bryce Hamilton when he fouled out too but the JackJumpers kept on fighting and went on a 10-0 run in the last three minutes with Will Magnay powerful inside to get within one.

Sydney then coughed up their chance to have a cushion when Kouat Noi missed two free throws. They got back possession when the JackJumpers couldn’t grab the rebound, but Xavier Cooks couldn’t get in the inbounds pass.

Magnay tipped it and eventually it was Marshall in his first season with the JackJumpers who finished strongly at the rim for the JackJumpers to win by a point having scored the last 12 points.

Marshall ended the game with 14 points and four rebounds while Hamilton put up 18 points before fouling out with Josh Bannan having a terrific battle with Cooks and ending up with 18 points and nine rebounds.

It will be a tough loss for the now 3-5 Kings to swallow given they had the game in their keeping before the horror finish with Kendric Davis top-scoring with 22 points to go with six rebounds and five assists.

Centre Tim Soares also had 13 points, five rebounds and two assists with Kouat Noi having 12 points and four rebounds but he'll be left to fume over his two late missed free throws.

The JackJumpers attacked the paint early, nailing 13 of their first 16 attempts to lead 29-25 at quarter-time, before the Kings - paced by Davis - dominated the middle two terms 30-21 and 24-14.

Tasmania's cause was hurt in the third period when Hamilton received his fourth foul - a technical for using a Spanish profanity in front of referee Nico Fernandes.

Marshall led the JackJumpers' fourth-quarter surge from 84-68 down, which was momentarily stalled when Hamilton fouled out, after Sydney successfully challenged a blocking foul on Davis, which was amended to a charge on the Tassie import.

After Galloway threw down successive dunks, the JackJumpers looked in trouble before coming from nowhere to storm home.

The JackJumpers are straight back home to host the Perth Wildcats in an Ignite Cup match up on Wednesday night while the Kings head to Brisbane to play the Bullets on Saturday night.
