Taipans, Wildcats' stars cop fines after fiery clash

Three players have been handed fines following a fiery post-game clash between the Cairns Taipans and Perth Wildcats on Wednesday night.

A war of words, as well as pushing and shoving, ensued during the handshake line after the Wildcats’ big win against the Taipans.

The Game Review Panel made the following assessment:
- Admiral Schofield (Cairns) has been charged with Unsportsmanlike Behaviour.
Base Penalty $775, Early Plea $585.

- Lat Mayen (Perth) has been charged with Unsportsmanlike Behaviour.
Base Penalty $775, Early Plea $585.

Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. (Perth) has been charged with Striking that was graded Intentional, Low Impact, Body Contact.
Base Penalty $1,010, Early Plea $700.

The players accepted their fines on Saturday evening.
