The ultimate test inside the hornets’ nest

Sydney travel to Adelaide on a six-game streak as Brian Goorjian flags a hostile hornets’ nest test against the league leaders.
They're one of just three teams to inflict defeat on the league-leading Adelaide 36ers, having done so on two occasions during the Hungry Jack's NBL26 campaign.
Now the red-hot Sydney Kings, winners of six straight games, head to Adelaide chasing their third win from as many attempts against Mike Wells' Sixers.
Kings coach Brian Goorjian, who has six NBL championships to his name, knows Friday's match is going to be a challenge of the highest order.
"One thing I bring to this is history. I'm old and have been around the block," Goorjian said in Tuesday's post-game press conference.
"It [Adelaide's current situation] takes me back to the Phil Smyth era when it was like a hornets' nest down there. It's back to that now and it's an honour for us to be in games like this, because you have to be at a certain level [to play in games like this].
"They've put together a tremendous team, that's really well coached and continue to raise the bar, [which we've matched the past two games against them].
"It's going to be a serious game and these matches are why we're in the game. I'm glad me and my team get this opportunity."
Friday's blockbuster between the competition's two hottest teams tips off at 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
