Tyrell Harrison made a statement in his NBA Summer League debut - just as Derek Rucker predicted.
Touted as an “NBA talent” by the former MVP, Harrison backed it up with 13 points and 8 rebounds in 23 minutes for the Denver Nuggets against Milwaukee.

It was an impressive first-up display for the NBL’s Most Improved Player.
“Overall I thought I did pretty good,” Harrison told Derek Rucker post-game.
“There’s still areas for me to improve on. I’m still learning the NBA style of gameplay.”
Harrison led the way for the NBL contingent on day one in Vegas, while Rocco Zikarsky made the most of limited minutes, nailing his first bucket for the Minnesota Timberwolves in just under four minutes of action.
Australian draftee Tyrese Proctor impressed with 14 points for Cleveland against Indiana, while fellow Aussie Johnny Furphy added 8 points in only nine minutes of game time.
Next Star graduate Izan Almansa chipped in with 4 points and a steal in Philadelphia’s heavy loss to San Antonio, while Sam Mennenga sat out the Lakers’ matchup with Dallas.
