Monday, April 22, 2024

Olgun Uluc has reported Will McDowell-White is set to sign with an overseas club.

A raft of teams across the NBL are set to switch their point guard recruitment focus ahead of NBL25, following reports from ESPN’s Olgun Uluc that Will McDowell-White is expected to sign with an unnamed European club.

It had previously been reported by Uluc that seven of the ten NBL teams were interested in securing McDowell-White to their roster, even prior to the guard declining his player option with the New Zealand Breakers.

"Will McDowell-White has informed NBL teams that he’ll be signing a contract in Europe for next season, sources told ESPN. The 6’5 point guard has significant EuroLeague interest," Uluc posted via X.

McDowell-White has played a total of four seasons with the Breakers since returning to the NBL in 2021 following stints in Germany and the NBA G-League.

He also played seven times for the Sydney Kings in NBL17.
