Former Cairns Taipan Taran Armstrong is reportedly signing with EuroLeague side, Dubai Basketball.
Former Cairns Taipans star Taran Armstrong has reportedly inked a deal with Dubai Basketball in the EuroLeague.
ESPN's Olgun Uluc is reporting that Armstrong, who signed a two-way deal with the Golden State Warriors earlier this year, is joining Dubai Basketball, whose roster also includes former NBA players Davis Bertans, Dwayne Bacon, and Justin Anderson.
The Tasmania product most recently played 12 matches with Golden State's G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists a game.
While Golden State would retain Armstrong’s NBA rights, a move to the EuroLeague team could open up more opportunities playing at a higher level.
In his most recent Hungry Jack’s NBL season, the 23-year-old guard averaged 17.1 points, 4.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds a game.
