The Perth Wildcats will be without two of their key stars on Monday night, with TaShawn Thomas (ankle) and Corey Webster (family reasons) sidelined.

The news comes as the Wildcats prepare to take on one of the league's in-form teams, the Cairns Taipans, who went 2-0 after an impressive victory against the Phoenix on Saturday night.

Perth also boasts a flawless record after two games at home, but now travels for the first time in its NBL23 campaign.

Thomas was one of the star performers throughout the pre-season, but injured his ankle during the Hungry Jack's NBL Blitz. He then hurt the same ankle in the Wildcats' win over Illawarra.

Development pair Oliver Hayes-Brown and Michael Harris have travelled to Queensland in place of Thomas and Webster.
