New Illawarra Hawks CEO, Stu Taggart, is committed to re-stablishing and steering the Wollongong club to success.
Taggart was previously the CEO of the UCI Road World Cycling Championships, which was hosted in Wollongong.
With familiarity of the club and local region, Taggart is eager to jump into his role come January 23rd, and work alongside Hawks Director Jared Novelly.
“Jared Novelly has been a great advocate….and I look forward to working with the executive, the team and the coaching staff to continue building on the heritage of the club to deliver something special,” Taggart said via the Illawarra Mercury.
“My primary focus is about delivering success for the Hawks.

“I can’t talk about the past but in terms of the future I’ll be looking again to come in and set up for success. That involves closely working with the ownership.”
The Hawks have had it tough this season with import changes, injuries, and a bottom of the ladder record.
A fresh face and highly valued opinion coming into the mix could be what Illawarra needs to steer towards greatness.
“My immediate priority and my sole priority is the Hawks,” Taggart said.
