NBL25: Off-Season Tracker

The stars of NBL25 have begun signing with other teams and Leagues both around the globe and closer to home in the NBL1 competitions.

Throughout the off-season, this tracker will keep you up to date on who is playing where, and which performances are standing out with Free Agency and NBL26 coming in hot.

Melbourne United forward Finn Delany has added to his trophy cabinet, helping Utsunomiya Brex win the Basketball Champions League Asia. Representing the Japanese powerhouse, Delany played a key role in their victory over Al Riyadi in the final, securing a spot in the 2025 FIBA Intercontinental Cup. He averaged 16.0 points and 5.6 rebounds, earning All-Star Five honours alongside Australian Thon Maker and former Cairns Taipan D.J. Newbill.

Jaylen Adams, the 2022 NBL MVP, also tasted international success, claiming the Basketball Africa League title with Libyan club Al Ahli Tripoli. Adams contributed across the board in the final with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

Over in Puerto Rico, Nathan Sobey had a busy week. Despite dropping 24 points, he was outdueled by Sam Waardenburg (24 points and 15 rebounds) and Milton Doyle (18 points and 10 assists) in a 98-92 loss. Later in the week, Sobey posted 19 points in a battle with Ian Clark, who responded with 24 points to lift Cangrejeros to victory.

Sam Waardenburg has been on a tear in Puerto Rico, averaging 25.6 points and 9.4 rebounds over his last five games, as his team holds the top spot in the standings.

In his return from injury, Kristian Doolittle powered through with a huge statline: 21 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists, leading his team to a win.

Jack White is currently competing in the German League Finals, facing off against former NBL Next Star Justinian Jessup in a best-of-five series. White posted 7 points in 16 minutes as his team secured an 82-66 win in Game 1.

Elsewhere in Europe, Parker Jackson-Cartwright is in the thick of the Lithuanian Championship Series with Rytas Vilnius, who are tied 1-1 with giants Zalgiris. PJC shone in Game 2, pouring in 20 points in just 19 minutes despite the loss.

Back home in the NZNBL, Flynn Cameron continued to impress, filling the stat sheet with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in a tough loss to the Southland Sharks.
