Even though NBL1 South wasn’t in action this weekend, there were still plenty of highlights from NBL stars in the NBL1.
Another South East Melbourne Phoenix player made his NBL1 North debut, with Kendall Stephens notching up nine points in his first appearance with bottom-placed Rockhampton.
Fresh off signing new contracts with the Cairns Taipans and Adelaide 36ers, Majok Deng (34 points and eight rebounds) and Mitch McCarron (14 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists) began to find their groove in NBL1 North.
Another player who found their groove was Brisbane’s Jason Cadee, who had back-to-back 30+ point games for the Gold Coast Rollers over the weekend.
In NBL1 Central, free agent Alex Mudronja had a standout weekend, backing up a 32-point performance with 24 points one day later.
Out west, we are yet to see Perth Wildcats’ Luke Travers in action for Mandurah, but in the meantime, Cairns star Scott Machado continues to tear it up with 21 points, five rebounds and five assists against Willetton on Saturday.
Perth’s Andrew Ferguson helped his Perry Lakes Hawks to get back on top of the ladder with a double-double against the South West Slammers to follow from his 11-point performance the previous night against second-placed Lakeside.
Fans can catch every NBL player in NBL1 live and free by heading to NBL1.com.au and the NBL App on game nights, while following NBL1 on social media will give fans access to all the latest news and highlights.
