NBL back on 10 free to air, in HD

Friday, May 10, 2024
For the first time in a decade, the NBL will be on a main free-to-air channel.
Off the back of record ratings and attendance, as well as unprecedented growth across the board, the NBL will be on a main free-to-air channel, and in high definition, for the first time in a decade.
A new broadcast arrangement with Network 10 means the marquee 2:30pm Sunday afternoon games will be shown on the broadcaster’s main channel in HD.
The deal marks another major milestone for the League since Kestelman took over a decade ago.
Sell outs across the country with more than a million fans through the gates, soaring TV audiences and massive digital engagement numbers have helped the NBL gain an even stronger foothold on the sporting landscape, and a return to a main FTA channel will only help the competition grow further.
“Returning the NBL to a main free-to-air channel in HD on Network10 is a huge step forward and means we will be seen by even more sports fans around the country,” NBL CEO David Stevenson said.
“Our broadcast audience increased by 26 percent, off the back of a similar rise last season. Our clubs achieved 40 sell-outs, with crowds increasing by 11 percent.
“We are the fastest growing sporting league in the country, and we are only just getting started.
“We thank Channel 10 and all our media partners for their continued support, and loyalty.”
