"Toughness" key to United signing

Friday, April 11, 2025
Melbourne United have signed Fabijan Krslovic on a two-year deal.
Melbourne United have signed NBL24 championship winner Fabijan Krslovic on a two-year deal.
Having played 199 games in the NBL, Krslovic was part of Tasmania's inaugural roster in NBL22, and a key member of its first championship team in NBL24.
“We were looking for a combo big that had the ability to play both at the five and at the four position and we were really looking for rebounding toughness," head coach Dean Vickerman said.
“I thought Fab, over these past few years when there was a hard ball to be won in key moments of games, had the ability to come up with it.
“You look at how he rebounds, he’s always a step ahead, he’s a guy that hits first and can use his strength to carve out space. There’s a real relentlessness in that area of his game.
“He’s then got the ability to space the floor and is continuing to develop his shot, and when he’s making shots he’s super dangerous on the court.
“He’s such a willing team offensive contributor in the way that he screens, as a passer, and as a super-tough competitor.”
Krslovic said he's excited to play at the club he's held at the "highest standard".
Krslovic joins Chris Goulding, Shea Ili, Tanner Krebs, Kyle Bowen and Dash Daniels (Next Star) as rostered players for the NBL26 season.
