The Brisbane Bullets have appointed Hajj Turner as Director of Player Personnel and Recruitment.

The Brisbane Bullets have announced Hajj Turner as the club’s Director of Player Personnel and Recruitment.

Turner has over two decades of involvement with basketball at a number of different levels, including top NCAA Division 1 programs, and played a small role with the Bullets last season prior to this opportunity.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hajj to a more formal role with the Bullets. His basketball pedigree and relationships in and around the game will bolster our organisation. This is another important step in building a high-performance environment that attracts and retains elite talent,” Bullets CEO, Malcolm Watts said.

This is the newest big signing for the Bullets, who recently announced Stu Lash as head coach after a lengthy hiring process.

“I’ve known and respected Hajj for a long time. His eye for talent, his ability to build relationships, and his deep understanding of the game will be an incredible asset as we shape the future of this team. He brings experience, passion and professionalism that aligns with the culture we’re building here in Brisbane,” Lash said.

Turner now looks to help build out the club's roster that has retained much of its core from last season, including Casey Prather and Tyrell Harrison.

"The time I have spent with the Bullets organisation this past season inspired me. I recognise what an incredible organisation I am joining, one that is full of potential. I am looking forward to supporting Stu and Mal and working alongside talented and dedicated colleagues - including assistant coaches Greg Vanderjagt and Darryl McDonald, whose passion and experience are second to none - as we strive to contribute to the team’s success in the coming seasons,” Turner said.
