Mitch Creek's Mets de Guaynabo side has moved into the semi-finals of the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional.

Mitch Creek’s successful off-season stint with Puerto Rican side Mets de Guaynabo is set to continue, as the side completed a clean sweep of their playoff series against Capitanes de Arecibo to move into the semi-finals of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional.

Mets defeated Capitanes by an average of almost 13 points in each of the four games across the series, but was forced to fight back from six points down at half time to take Game 4.

Creek starred in the opening win of the series with 28 points and seven rebounds, and took charge once again in Game 3 with a strong 25-point performance.

He added 10 points and four rebounds in the decisive Game 4, in which former NBA All-Star Demarcus Cousins took the limelight with his 20 points and eight boards.

Mets will now face Gigantes de Carolina in the playoff semi-finals, after the side completed an upset series win over the Brandon Knight and Hassan Whiteside led Quebradillas.

The winner of the series will go on to face either Bayamon or Atleticos de San German in the Finals.
