Jessup and Law star: NBLxNBA Summer League Day Four Recap

Illawarra Hawks sharpshooter Justinian Jessup found his range for the Golden State Warriors on day four of the NBA Summer League.

Jessup, whose rights are still owned by the Warriors, nailed three of his four three-point attempts for the Warriors to score 13 points in their 90-84 win over the Toronto Raptors.

He wasn’t the only NBLxNBA player to contribute in Golden State’s win, as Cairns Taipans star Cam Oliver added five points and five rebounds.

Former Brisbane Bullets import Vic Law played a starring role for the Los Angeles Lakers in their game against the New York Knicks.

Law was the Lakers’ equal leading scorer with 14 points while he also added four rebounds in their loss to the Knicks.

NBL Next Star Josh Giddey didn’t play on Thursday as he continues to recover from an ankle injury suffered in his first Summer League outing.

Former NBL Next Star Didi Louzada had a solid performance for the New Orleans Pelicans as he amassed eight points, three assists and two blocks in their win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Another former Next Star, RJ Hampton, was once again in the starting line-up for the Orlando Magic and he recorded nine points and five rebounds in a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

New Cairns Taipans import Tahjere McCall hit the Summer League court for the first time, playing six and a half minutes for Orlando.

Jarell Martin played just under seven minutes for the Memphis Grizzlies in their win over the Dallas Mavericks.

John Mooney (Milwaukee Bucks) and Ben Moore (Memphis) recorded DNPs.
