JackJumper open to extending stay

Tasmania's injury replacement player TJ Starks is open to extending his time with the club.
He may have only played one game with the JackJumpers, but import TJ Starks has said that he would be open to extending his stay in the Apple Isle.
Starks, who signed with Tasmania as an injury replacement player for David Johnson last week, powered the JackJumpers to a Round 3 win over Brisbane by scoring 18 points in 19 minutes on Saturday.
And while his stay is only slated to be a short one before heading to China, the Cal State Northridge alum isn't ruling out extending his time with Scott Roth's side.
“Right now I am committed to China but if there is a situation where China didn’t work, then I’ll consider that, but right now that’s a done deal. I’ve already signed my papers but things can always change,” Starks said to CODE Sports.
“Right now I’m locked in on China, but I just want to focus on being here because I do appreciate the JackJumpers for having me here, so I do want to help the team get some more wins while I’m here.
“I think it’s about 10 or 12 games. If it’s a situation where I haven’t left for China yet after those games, then I’ll just be here until China says ‘we need you to come out here’.”
Starks' JackJumpers, who are 1-3 on the season, are in Adelaide ahead of tonight's showdown with the 36ers, which tips off at 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
