Practice key to McIntosh’s turnaround
Tasmania JackJumpers import MiKyle McIntosh says his fortunes started to change once he started training better.
“As soon as I started doing well in practice everything turned around. I struggled at first trying to get into the swing of things and trying to play the coach’s way and doing everything that way. It was an adjustment but I thank him for believing in me,” McIntosh said via The Mercury.
No more slip-ups for Hawks
Illawarra forward Antonius Cleveland says the Hawks can’t afford any slip-ups as they try to hold onto a top four spot.
“It's a big win, we've started playing good right now when it matters, we've just got to keep stringing them together. We can't have any slip-ups,” Cleveland said via the Illawarra Mercury.
Wildcats better on defence
Perth Wildcats coach Scott Morrison believes his team is better defensively than what they’re given credit for.
“We are seeing that when we’re really locked in and communicating and executing our system that we are a better defensive team than we’re giving ourselves credit for,” he said via The West Australian.
Medal gone but memories remain
Whether his stolen bronze medal gets found or not, Australian Boomer Nathan Sobey will forever cherish the memories he made at the Tokyo Olympics.
“Whether the medal is there or not, no one can take the memories, the friendships and chemistry we built as a team away from me,” Sobey said via The Courier Mail.
