NBA not on Cotton’s mind
Perth Wildcats superstar Bryce Cotton says he hasn’t thought about getting an NBA call-up, considering the potential difficulties teams face in flying players from Australia to America.
“With travelling, to get back to America, I’m not sure how they would work out. Considering how guys drop like flies now in the NBA with COVID, they’d probably want someone that is easily accessible. I’m sure it’s possible, but I just don’t know how likely that would be,” Cotton said on The West Australian’s The Dribble Podcast.
Goorj sets the challenge
Brian Goorjian has challenged Illawarra Hawks bench players Isaac White, Emmett Naar, Akoldah Gak and Alex Mudronja to prove him wrong for not giving them rotation minutes.
“To quote him, he said 'you've got to make me look like an idiot for not playing you' and I take that to heart,” White told the Illawarra Mercury.
Fitness first for Taipans
Having not played since New Year’s Eve, Cairns Taipans coach Adam Forde has revealed the focus at training has been fitness – not basketball – ahead of Sunday’s game with New Zealand.
“With this week leading in, it hasn’t been back to normal, it’s almost got a mini pre-season feel to it,” Forde said via the Cairns Post.
