Fans won’t miss a second of the action during the 2021-22 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season with the official launch of the NBL Fan Channel.

Fans won’t miss a second of the action during the 2021-22 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season with the official launch of the NBL Fan Channel.

Using Australian technology, NBL fans can build their own channel via the NBL website, utilising a cloud-based video technology developed by Linius Technologies Ltd.

Fans can generate their own personalised video stream around their favourite team, players and games that can be edited and shared online with followers and friends. Each channel is automatically updated when new content matching their individual preferences becomes available.

“The NBL Fan Channel service provides an opportunity to extend the reach of our sport by allowing our fans to curate and share their own channels,” Hungry Jack’s NBL Owner and Executive Chairman Larry Kestelman said.

“We want our fans to be able to watch the NBL in as many different ways they choose and enjoy the game with family and friends as we go to the next level this season.”

“We’re putting the game back in the hands of fans, and our technology brings a new era of personalised TV from sport, through to every kind of digital TV content there is,” Linius CEO James Brennan said.

“Linius’ sports solutions have increased fan engagement for our other sports clients, and we are excited to now have basketball fans also able to enjoy it.”

Amazon Web Services recently published a case-study on how Linius’ technology has increased fan engagement across their digital channels since deploying the tech, and English Premier League club, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Wolves) has also experienced a material increase in viewer engagement since the integration of Linius’ technology into their Partner Swanbay’s platform.

The NBL Fan Channel experience is free for NBL fans to use and comprises just four simple steps to set up once an account has been created:

1. Select your team(s)
2. Select your players(s)
3. Select your actions (such as dunks, goals, assists)
4. Select the content type (condensed game replays, game highlights, player highlights – or even press conferences) and then press play.
