Talking points
Sydney’s big watch
The Kings have been on the front foot this past week, saying that they won’t be trying to rush a key replacement signing for injured big Keli Leaupepe. However, they come up against Jesse Edwards, who has proven to be a handful across his first three games in the season. With Tim Soares as the main anchor down low, how do the Kings attack this?
Delly in different colours
This will be the first time that Matthew Dellavedova faces his former team, and he will be out to set the tone early. The veteran guard is also coming off a rare scoreless game, albeit in a win for the Kings – so look for him to be even more aggressive than usual.
What they're saying
Kings star Matthew Dellavedova on facing his former side Melbourne for the first time:
“I had three great years (at United), they were amazing to me and the family, I made a lot of great friends and I wish them nothing but the best,” Dellavedova said to CODE Sports.
“But I’m pumped to be in Sydney, it’s a great opportunity and I’m excited to be here.
"Every game counts as one though, soI'm just focusing on the game itself [and getting the win for my team]."
Melbourne United's Tanner Krebs said about playing his former teammate Matthew Dellavedova:
“He’s going to come out and want to get a win and we know how Delly plays and his mindset,” Krebs said to CODE Sports.
