Talking points
Noi watch
Kouat Noi is not just a leading candidate for Best Sixth Man once again, he's also one of the best personalities in the NBL.
After his call out of Lanard Copeland post-game, all eyes will be on the Kings star in this one to see how he steps up and delivers once again.
United's fall from grace
Melbourne United look a shell of themselves from the beginning of the season and they're slowing losing touch with the top two.
After a shock loss to Cairns on Wednesday night, they now travel to Sydney to try and get back on the winners' list against an old rival.
Chris Anstey said on NBL Now that he expects to see them come out with “a look in their eye.”
Only time will tell.
What they're saying
Kings coach Brian Goorjian on playing United:
"Every game is big in this league and I can make the case for every game we've got being so important.
"Sunday against Melbourne, [who have their backs against the wall right now], is like that, but every game is really important and that's how we felt coming into this one [against New Zealand] too."
United star Chris Goulding on his team's current state:
"(We’re) pissed off, angry, but I’m sure we’ll watch it and see areas that we can be so much better or a little thing here or there could have changed the outcome."
“But yeah, (we’re) pissed off and we’re not good enough to win games right now, that’s the bottom line as a collective and individually.
“There’s key moments in that game where we had to come up with something positive and we didn’t, and they might be last on the ladder, but for so many years teams that are down on the bottom they’re not bad teams.
“So on any given night, you’re going to get your arse kicked and we just simply weren’t good enough tonight, and in this league you find that out by getting beat.”
