Talking points

Percentage in play
The Perth Wildcats have a slight edge over Melbourne United in the standings, but with their percentage almost exactly the same, they'd be hoping to avoid any instance where it hurts them. Taking care of business and winning their remaining games is what matters the most for the Wildcats, but boosting their percentage could go a long way to helping them avoid dropping to fifth. They are a team that is peaking at the right time and they welcome a Brisbane team that's limping to the end of the season.

Big man battle
Tyrell Harrison returns for the Bullets to give them a much-needed boost. The star big man has missed the last few weeks with a concussion and returns for a game that his size and interior presence will be needed against Perth. The Wildcats' recent success has been on the back of Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. stepping up as the focal point of the offense, which provides a key matchup to watch in this.

What they're saying

Wildcat captain Jesse Wagstaff on his side showing up for their fans:
“We’re spoilt with the fan base we have. I’ve seen a lot of these days and it’s a privilege to have this type of support.

“We are playing good basketball, but we still have three games left. We’ve still got Sydney and Brisbane and Adelaide, so a lot can happen.

"Anything can happen during play-offs. We just have to keep chipping away. We’ve been doing a good job of just showing up and doing our jobs.”

Bullets interim coach Darryl McDonald on applying pressure to Perth:
“We just want to be competitive, hit shots and give ourselves a chance and we have to put some scoreboard pressure on them, and it's funny because we've beaten them there already.

"They haven't played great at home either and they've lost a few early ones and close ones, so if we put some pressure on them we can see what happens.

"Definitely having Tyrell [Harrison] helps going in there and it's going to be the same routine, we'll focus on having a good week just see what happens man.

"We go into the game wanting to compete and hit shots, and put pressure on them to give ourselves an opportunity to win. Even to this day with the roster we have, I've never gone into a game thinking we're going to lose and this one is no different."
